Wild Aware, the Evergreen-based nonprofit, is excited to announce one more date has been added to the schedule to remove dangerous barbed wire fencing throughout Dedisse Park. Look for the signup link on www.wildaware.org. Volunteers are encouraged to sign up early to reserve a spot.
Volunteers will meet at the picnic pavilion in Dedisse Park each Saturday. Bring heavy gloves, water, weather-appropriate gear, and barbed wire cutters if you have them. We’ll be done at 1 pm and have lunch provided if you signup for it. It’s hard work but so rewarding. Below are photos from the July 8, 2023 barbed wire removal in Dedisse Park.
