Wild Aware, the Evergreen-based nonprofit, is excited to announce one more date has been added to the schedule to remove dangerous barbed wire fencing throughout Dedisse Park. Our August 19th date has a waiting list. The added date is Saturday, October 3rd at 10 am. Look for the signup link on www.wildaware.org. Volunteers are encouraged to sign up early to reserve a spot.
Volunteers will meet at the picnic pavilion in Dedisse Park each Saturday. Bring heavy gloves, water, weather-appropriate gear, and barbed wire cutters if you have them. We’ll be done at 1 pm and have lunch provided if you signup for it. It’s hard work but so rewarding. Below are photos from the July 8, 2023 barbed wire removal in Dedisse Park.
